1. What this covers
This policy explains the browser storage used by khatain.com's public pages. It does not replace the privacy information for the separate signed-in KhataIN application at app.khatain.com.
2. Storage categories
- Necessary and security: storage used only after sign-in to keep a requested authenticated calendar session working.
- User-requested functionality and preferences: local-only preferences and data needed for features a visitor chooses to use.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 is loaded on public pages to count visits and page views; its advertising storage and personalisation are turned off. KhataIN does not currently configure advertising campaigns or advertising pixels on this public website.

4. Third-party services
Google Analytics 4 is loaded after the page becomes interactive on public khatain.com pages to measure visits, page views and related usage events. KhataIN requests IP anonymisation and turns off advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation for it. Data retention for usage events is set in the analytics property and subject to Google's terms; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Starting Google sign-in can contact Google Identity Services and Cloudflare Turnstile. These services support the sign-in and security flow; their browser state and retention are governed by their own settings and policies. Asking for weather can contact Open-Meteo, and an explicitly allowed browser location can be sent to BigDataCloud to obtain a city label. Sharing through WhatsApp or X opens those services only after the visitor selects the share action.
Cloudflare provides delivery and security infrastructure for khatain.com. We do not state a Cloudflare request or security-log retention period here because it is not verified by this repository.
5. Managing browser controls
You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser settings. Clearing browser data can remove local calendar drafts, language choices and a requested sign-in session. Public date tools continue to work without sign-in or storage.
